Our Mission: Bring Basketball Home to the Wirral

Basketball in England began in Birkenhead in 1892. Once the beating heart of the national game, Wirral now has no dedicated basketball facility, even as basketball is England’s fastest-growing team sport.

We will change that. Triple Double will create a state-of-the-art basketball centre that combines elite sport with inclusive, year-round community access. A home for juniors, adults, schools, clubs, girls and women, and SEND athletes.

Despite surging demand, clubs and players are forced to travel significant distances every week just to find a suitable venue to play basketball. Our dedicated facility will change this, keeping participation, opportunity and economic activity in Wirral.
